Services

1st, 3rd, 4th & 5th Sundays
10.00am Eucharist with settings that change with the seasons of the Church's year. We use materials mainly from the Methodist and Common Worship traditions. The music is accompanied by the organ and services will mostly reflect Anglican or Methodist styles but can include a Baptist or URC style communion.

2nd Sundays
9.00am Said Eucharist

10.00am The Open Door service. Lively, interactive worship suitable for all ages. A music group leads the singing and members of the congregation join in leading the worship. The service lasts for about half an hour and is followed by refreshments. A good way to begin if you are not used to church, but thought provoking for everyone.

4.00pm Evening service in a variety of styles, from The Book of Common Prayer to completely free worship. Please contact Chris (01908) 314224 for details.

5th Sunday
When there is a Fifth Sunday in the month there is an opportunity for
personal prayer for healing in the Lady Chapel during the Eucharist.

Weekdays
8.00am Morning prayer is said every morning using the beautiful morning
prayer settings of Jim Cotter.

On the first Wednesday of every month at 7.00pm there is a Healing Eucharist which uses a liturgy from the Church of South India.

On the other Wednesdays we alternate a Common Worship Eucharist and an Iona Eucharist monthly. These services are very peaceful and simple, they start at 7.00pm and last about 30 minutes.

Children
We have a blossoming Young Church group who meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays
of the month at 9.45 in the Community Centre joining us towards the end of
the Eucharist for a blessing. On the 1st Sunday the children enjoy Godly
Play and on the 3rd Sundays they enjoy a variety of activities. On other
Sundays children are welcome in church which has activities available for
them to enjoy.

We are just beginning a Tiddler (as in little fishes) group of under fives
who meet with their carers during the week for praise and play - and carers
enjoy coffee/tea and cake! Please ring Chris to check details.

Church openings
The church is open for quiet prayer or a chat on most Tuesday afternoons - this coincides with the visit of the Library van and the Tuesday afternoon cafe held in the Community Centre. Cafe and church opening times are usually 2.30pm to 4.30pm.

The church is also open on Saturday mornings from 10.00am to 12.00noon - a time
to chat and meet new people as well as preparing the church for Sunday.
